The purpose of this blog is to document random acts of kindness from all over! Whether it makes national news, or I spot it at my local grocery story. Gandhi’s famous quote, “Be the change you want to see in world,” inspired me to start blogging. We all have the ability to make a difference. No one can do everything, but everyone can do something.
For example, on Friday night I was watching CNN’s Bullying: It Stops Here and it showed that everyone is able to help end bullying. Obviously, Anderson Cooper has the power of the media on his side. He is a prominent journalist and has access to tools that most people don’t. Lady Gaga has inspired many with her lyrics, even one of the boys who got bullied confides in her music. But what touched me was meeting the student who was introduced as “the intervener”. Jacob is a student who was ranked highest on the study for intervening in bullying. “No one deserves to feel bad about themselves or have other people view bad of them,” he said. “So if you have the opportunity to make someone feel better about themselves or prevent this from happening to them, then I believe you should take it.”
Everyone can be the intervener. Not just with bullying, but in life.
Join me as I document stories about how everyday people like me and you are making a difference.
